Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, musical soulmates Joshua “3FACE” Eagles and Cedrik “CEE” Aberle drop Scrolling – it’s funky, sci-fi fire!
“We like to be as spacey as possible, to lean on the psychedelic,” says 3FACE. “It’s about feeling like you’re floating in space while listening to music that feels good.” Adds CEE, “It’s a sci-fi type of sensation. When people listen to our music, we want them to feel like they’re getting stories from another world – but that are still real and relatable.”
Scrolling was produced by Grammy nominated producer D Mile, In 2020, he co-produced Charlie Wilson’s “Forever Valentine” with Bruno Mars and The Stereotypes. He and Mars also composed Arashi’s “Whenever You Call”.
The pair’s natural chemistry was kindled in high school over their mutual love of rap as well as classic R&B and pop from the 1980’s. “When we met each other, our creative skills immediately fused,” says CEE. “You can hear it in the vocals. 3FACE has a higher-pitched tone and mine are more melodramatic. It makes the songs very versatile and gives us a lot more ability to tell interesting stories.”
Known for their ability to “pick one”, KISS FM DJs the Dixon Brothers are already championing this one. Speaking to Student Pages, the boys described Scrolling as a perfect car/BBQ jam…”get those windows open and the volume up!”
