There really is nothing quite as enjoyable as a warming spiced latte. It might be cliché but its popular for a reason. I like to get some actual pumpkin into mine but feel free to leave that out if it’s a step too far for you.
Makes: 1
- 1 double shot of Espresso/60ml very strong instant coffee
- 250ml of milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- 2 Tbsp Pumpkin puree
- ½ Tbsp Maple syrup/brown sugar (or to taste)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp pumpkin spice* + more to serve
- Whipped cream (optional)

Method
- Start with your double shot of espresso in the bottom of your favourite mug
- Add your milk, pumpkin puree, sweetener of choice, vanilla and spice mix to a saucepan and warm over a medium heat until steaming
- Once hot, but not boiling whisk thoroughly
- Pour the hot spiced milk over your espresso and top with a generous squirt of whipped cream.
- Dust with a final flourish of pumpkin spice
- Find a cosy spot to enjoy with a great book or comforting tv show.
*Pumpkin spice blend: 3 Tbsp ground cinnamon, 2 tsp ground ginger, 2 tsp ground nutmeg, 1tsp ground allspice, 1 tsp ground cloves.
