Introducing SewnNotThrown, a one-woman fabric recycling fashion brand run by Crawley based Meg Davis. After being inspired by TV’s The Great British Sewing Bee, Meg, 32, started making garments using preloved and unwanted fabrics in 2020 to bring together comfort and sustainability.

Meg scours charity shops to find material and also offers custom-made items. She reveals: “One customer bought one of my hoodies because it was made from a duvet set she’d forgotten she’d had as a child and it brought back tons of happy memories. I make clothes to order if a customer has some fabric they want to upcycle.”

SewnNotThrown hoodies, sweatshirts and jackets are all upcycled and made from preloved and unwanted fabrics.

Each garment is unisex and made in an oversized, comfortable fit, and with two pockets at the side.
