About the CompanyWe’re a fast-paced and forward-thinking organisation located just outside Leeds, seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support our finance team during a key transitional period. This short-term assignment offers the chance to make an immediate impact in a collaborative and commercially driven environment.
Role OverviewAs a Temporary Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and providing valuable insights to aid decision-making. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team to ensure continuity and stability during this 3-month period.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis

Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Post journals, accruals, and prepayments

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements

Assist with cash flow reporting and working capital analysis

Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions

Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and resolve queries

Support year-end and audit preparation if required

Skills & Experience Required

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Proven experience in management accounting roles

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Available to start immediately or on short notice
