3.5 Tonne Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Oldbury, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Friday Start times between 6.00am and 9.00am
Pay rate: £12.50 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Multi-drop with some handball
- Operating and driving 3.5 tonne vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills:
To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category B driving licence
- A minimum of 12 month’s experience driving Category B vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
- Good knowledge of the UK road network
- Good spoken and written English
- Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
- A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
- Driver’s assessment must be completed before starting
- A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment
