About The Client:
Our client is £10M turnover organisation who provide metal fabrication services into primarily the aerospace and defence sector. They have a strong history of manufacturing in the UK, and have been recognised with various accreditations and approvals from prestigious organisations within the sector.
As the business looks to enter its next phase of development, they are looking to bring on board a MD to take over the day-to-day leadership of the business. It is a fantastic opportunity to lead a very profitable and thriving organisation through its next stage.
Managing Director – The Role:
You will take responsibility for the day to day activities of the business, working closely with the owners to develop the strategy for the next 3-5 years. You will develop and manage key relationships with their largest accounts, alongside improving the productivity and efficiency of the business. With a strong senior management team in place, you will help develop them into future leaders of the business.
Managing Director – Key Responsibilities:
– Manage the day to day operations of the organisation, responsible for all areas of the business including sales, finance, operations and HR
– Develop a high performing, highly productive culture throughout the organisation
– Build strong relationship with their key accounts, becoming a trusted advisor for their needs
– Ensure there is an effective sales process and support the commercial team when required. This can include visiting customers and preparing quotations
Managing Director – You:
– Experience working within the aerospace and/or defence sector
– Strong commercial acumen
– Proven track record of managing and developing high performing teams
– Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to managing a business
