    Alecto are working with a long-standing client in the search for an experienced and skilled CNC SLIDING HEAD
    machinist with PROGRAMMING
    abilities on either CITIZEN
    or STAR
    machines to assist with the running of the sliding and fixed head CNC machines. You MUST
    have previous experience PROGRAMMING
    , setting, and running various CNC Multi axis lathes including DOOSAN’s as well as Citizen and Star machines. Be versatile with all types of materials including Steels, and nonferrous alloys. Machine various size batched of components while maintaining standards of accuracy and finish.

    SALARY

    • 45,000 to 52,000 per annum (Negotiable at interview).
    • DAYS ROLE
    • 4 days per week working 40 hours.
    • Overtime available and invitational.
    • 25 days holiday plus statutory Bank Holidays.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • MUST PROGRAM
      CNC Sliding Head Machines, either Citizen or Star.
    • Using CNC Multi axis lathes with FANUC and FANUC based programming.
    • Writing and proving out CNC programs.
    • Required to machine various sized batches while maintaining standards of accuracy and finish.
    • Experienced in ALL
      aspects of PROGRAMMING
      , setting and operation of CNC lathes.
    • Manufacture components to engineering drawings to ensure all tolerances are met.
    • Able to work with minimum supervision.
    • Liaise with quality control department to ensure highest possible standards.

    SKILLS

    • Apprentice trained (academically) or time served over 5 years CNC Machining.
    • CNC Turning or Lathes experience.
    • CNC PROGRAMMING
      of at least 2 years’ experience.
    • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Detail-orientated mindset with a focus on precision and quality.
