We are recruiting for a Registered Manager for some of our most vulnerable children and young people. This is an exciting time to join our service, which puts the individual at the heart of our work. This new provision is an opportunity to be innovative in the way we understand the needs of this important group of young people. This multi-professional model will work from a strength-based (Signs of Safety) and trauma-informed approach, meeting the needs of children, young people, and their families.
Your new role
You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, ensuring that the settings meet all regulatory standards to provide excellent quality of care to the children and young people who are resident for up to 12 weeks. The aim is to understand their needs more completely and secure a pathway or placement able to meet their needs. You will need to be able to meet the requirements of The Regulated Services Regulations. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with children, young people, families, members of the community, CIW, social workers and agencies such as health, education and the police.
What you’ll need to succeed
As Registered Manager, you will need significant experience of working in a residential Child Care setting at a senior or management level. Experience of performance management frameworks with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of best practice in residential child care.
- Good IT skills and an ability to use various databases.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet objectives within tight timescales.
- Leadership skills (Communication, planning, organising, supporting and motivating staff)
