    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our procurement team as a Group Senior Category Manager EMEA where you’ll be responsible for all assigned categories, driving efficiencies, competitiveness, service, quality, innovation, and scope 3 carbon reductions from the supply base. 

     

    What you’ll be doing as Project & Sustainability Procurement Manager:

    • Design, Implement & lead category strategies under agreed remit which significantly improve the commercial performance whilst maintaining compliance to company policy and standards and mitigating all risk
    • Tender management, negotiation, and implementation of supplier agreements
    • Use of Procure Wizard for assigned categories, analysis, reporting & compliance tracking
    • To ensure Group policies and procedures are complied with and all actions undertaken are in line with internal audit requirements
    • Budget, forecasting & reporting responsibility for central procurement income, working closely with the relevant stakeholders
    • Tracking & reporting of savings and cost movements vs. inflation on all categories
    • Implement and monitor of KPI’s to measure supplier efficiency
    • Drive strategic innovation in all categories
    • Ensure full life cycle costs/whole deal costs are analysed and considered
    • To work closely with the operational stakeholders across all brands as a key contributor to the decision-making process for new products & suppliers
    • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Corporate social responsibility, develop & support initiatives, sustainability being an important element of decision-making process for all products, services & suppliers
    • Management and development of one direct report
    • Attend, present and update at Executive / senior team meetings as requested. Provide updates on relevant projects & categories as required for meetings attended by other members of the team
    • Support the properties & stakeholders across the business in all Procurement related matters as necessary

     

    What we’re looking for:

    • Demonstrable experience in Procurement / Buying / Category Management
    • Experience working with similar systems (Procure Wizard)
    • Proven-track record in complex tenders and contract negotiation across various categories.
    • Excellent networking capabilities and presentation skills
    • Team player with excellent communication and influencing skills
    • Financial acumen and result orientated with ability to present results in a structured and professional manner
    • Strong project management skills
    • Strong IT & Microsoft office skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritise & work to deadlines
    • Highly numerate & attention to detail
    • Experience of managing & developing people
    • CIPS qualified or training towards preferred but not essential
    • Hospitality experience preferred but not essential
    • Experience with procurement outside of the UK preferred but not essential
