    You will play a pivotal role in driving the identification, evaluation, and implementation of innovative solutions within the organization. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in both engineering and business, capable of analyzing market trends, scouting for disruptive technologies, and fostering a culture of innovation.


    How You’ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities

    Innovation Analysis and Strategy:
    Conduct in-depth analysis of innovation opportunities and market trends to identify new disruptive ideas.
    Develop and execute strategies to better understand customer problems and evaluate the market potential of new technologies.


    Project Management:
    Lead and manage innovation projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely execution.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.


    Trend Scouting and Technology Evaluation:

    Execute trend scouting activities to stay ahead of industry developments and emerging technologies.
    Screen, evaluate, and consolidate outside-in perspectives from other companies, customers, partners, investors, consulting firms, financial and research institutions.


    Ecosystem Engagement:

    Think and act in ecosystems, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    Engage actively in the global Innovation Center community to fully exploit potential and enable impact.


    Strategic Support and Communication:

    Support strategic discussions within the Innovation Center Management and prepare materials for decision-making processes.
    Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to various stakeholders, including senior management.


    Continuous Improvement:

    Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
    Identify and implement best practices in innovation management.


    What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

    Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Business related field) is required. Master’s degree in Business or a related field is highly preferred.
    Experience: 5-7 years of experience in innovation management, project management, or a related field. Proven experience in the energy sector, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    Technical Skills:

    o Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and make data-driven decisions.
    o Excellent project management skills, capable of leading multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
    o Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with a command of English to communicate seamlessly with different stakeholders, cultures, and management levels in an international environment.
    o High level of critical thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and a curious learner.
    o Ability to thrive under stress and time pressure, displaying flexibility and resilience.
    o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.

Power-to-X is building on our strengths in the power business and explores new fields in the chemical and gases business, where building an eco-system of partners is key.
    • The Innovation Center Abu Dhabi is a new department embedded in the Global Function Innovation.
