Infrastructure Manager – Invest NI
Job Purpose: The IT Infrastructure Manager will lead Invest NI’s ICT Infrastructure team, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the infrastructure. This role involves managing Azure/M365 tenants, servers, networks (LAN, WAN, VPN), and a team of four staff officers. The post holder will assess the value for money of the infrastructure and the suitability of ICT services for Invest NI’s needs, proposing new solutions as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Manage and mentor a team of professional infrastructure staff.
Assist the CSI Manager in developing and delivering a secure hybrid cloud infrastructure strategy in support of the Digital Technology Roadmap.
Manage or assist in the identification of solutions and services, business case development, solution selection, procurement, and implementation/adoption of infrastructure services and related software and hardware.
Assist in the development and testing of Contingency, Incident Response, and Recovery Plans for Invest NI.
Support the CSI Manager in the strategic journey to cloud-first delivery, managing an active process for “evergreen” application updates.
Provide a proactive security contribution to the overall Digital Technology roadmap/ICT strategy, improving operational efficiency.
Technical Management:
Manage Invest NI’s Azure tenants, Entra ID (AAD), and M365 environment.
Oversee Local and Wide Area Networks, including VPNs, telephony systems, firewalls, and associated network and security devices.
Manage Server, Storage, and Virtualisation Infrastructure, including Hybrid cloud.
Ensure effective records are maintained.
Troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate any ICT infrastructure problems to third parties, ensuring ICT suppliers are effectively managed according to their SLA and contract terms.
Support the work of other ICT Teams and promote best practices within the ICT Team.
Provide a high level of customer service for all Invest NI staff.
Keep abreast of appropriate emerging technologies.

25 days of annual leave per annum, plus an additional 12 Public and Privilege holidays. The leave year runs from 1st February to 31st January. Leave entitlement in the period prior to the start of the new leave year is calculated on a pro rata basis.
