    School Business Support Officer required for a Blackpool school – starting ASAP

    Are you looking for a new school administration role in a vibrant and friendly school?Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for working with children and their families?If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our temporary school administrator position in Blackpool!
    Your new role

    Within a school business support role, you will be responsible for managing all the administrative tasks within the school, which may also cover some aspects of finance and HR. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, support staff, and governors to ensure the smooth running of the school. You will also be the first point of contact for all visitors, phone calls, and enquiries.This is a full-time position working weekdays from 8.00 am – 4pm (with some flexibility on hours) and will be temporary on an ongoing basis while the school recruits.

    Duties may include

    • Managing the school diary, booking appointments, arranging meetings, and sending reminders
    • Inputting orders and invoices onto SIMS.
    • Update and maintain pupil and staff records or databases, using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and SIMS
    • Send and receive letters and emails.
    • Order and stock supplies, equipment, and stationery
    • Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection
    • Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies, and the public

    What you’ll need to succeed

    • Previous experience in a school or office environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
    • Knowledge of SIMS or other school management systems
    • A friendly, professional, and helpful attitude
    • A high level of confidentiality and discretion
    • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
