Your new role
As Contracts Engineer, you will use your background in civil engineering to oversee and manage a range of projects in the road and transport space. From offering surfacing and repair services to various local councils or managing road construction projects on new residential developments, this is a busy and varied role, allowing you to develop your engineering experience into project management. Working with your Director and commercial team director, you will be responsible for managing these projects from start to finish. From supervising and managing your labourforce to reporting progress to your client, this role will be multifaceted and allow an ambitious candidate to develop their skillset quickly.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is from a civil engineering background, ideally with expertise in the roads/blacktop sector. You will have excellent communication skills and are comfortable onsite working with your operatives as well as sitting in meetings with your clients. You must be an effective prioritiser of work in line with project demands and have strong organisational skills.
