Personal Tax Senior – Small, Independent Firm of Chartered Accountants – Competitive Salary

An established, independent firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join the firms’ growing tax department. The accountancy firm provides a number of accounting, audit and tax advice services to a host of clients across London.
Your new role
As a Personal Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert advice on personal tax matters, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients through complex tax planning and wealth management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Offer bespoke tax planning advice, including inheritance tax strategies and capital gains tax optimisation.
- Liaise with HMRC and handle tax enquiries on behalf of clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and best practices.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the firm’s ongoing professional development.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will ideally be working towards the ATT and will have a minimum of 2 years practice experience. You will be confident in preparing self assessment tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships as well as having an excellent understanding of UK tax standards.
Ideally, you will have experience of using CCH but this is not essential
