Property Inspector (mechanical bias)
Your new company
You will be working for a large organisation operating across the Aberdeen area providing property maintenance solutions to a range of public buildings. This role is a long-term temporary position for a period of at least 6 months. In your role as a Property Inspector you will provide technical expertise to the wider contract management team.
Your new role
In your new role you will spend a mixture of time in the office and visiting properties across the Aberdeen area. You will inspect plant such as commercial heating and ventilation systems. When carrying out site inspections, you will update and maintain statutory records, allocate work to mechanical contractors and assist in managing any maintenance required. This role will involve working as part of a team, being able to assess repair requirements in line with regulatory requirements and maintaining the building at a high functioning level fit for the purposes of the occupants.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successfully appointed to this role you must have experience and qualifications relating to commercial boiler installation and maintenance. Qualifications at SVQ / NVQ Level 3 are essential. It is also essential that you hold a current driving licence as you will be travelling regularly as part of this role. You must have a strong awareness of health & safety procedures and contribute to a culture of working safely. In addition, you will be required to keep accurate records using various IT packages such as word, excel and email. An excellent communicator, you will work as part of a wider team and communicate your findings and recommendations clearly.

This role is an excellent opportunity to take a step into a management or supervisor role, working off the tools you will be responsible for inspecting boiler and ventilation systems and recommending repairs required. You will be paid a competitive rate of pay, paid mileage for all business travel and work flexible hours over Monday to Friday with no call-outs required. This role also offers you a long-term contract right though until at least April 2025. Paid weekly via Hays, you will also receive holiday pay in addition to your hourly rate to be used throughout the year.
