    As the EMEA Regional Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial closing process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a proven track record in managing financial processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Your new role

    • Financial Close:
      Lead the monthly financial close process for the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards.
    • Financial Analysis:
      Prepare and review detailed flux analysis of all general ledger accounts to identify variances and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
    • Account Reconciliations:
      Oversee the preparation of high-quality monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely sign-off.
    • Accounting Policies:
      Develop and implement regional accounting policies and procedures that align with global standards.
    • Internal Controls:
      Assist in building a robust internal control environment, including the implementation and execution of internal control activities to ensure SOX compliance.
    • Statutory Reporting:
      Manage all activities related to preparing and issuing statutory financial statements for EMEA subsidiaries, coordinating with audit firms.
    • Payroll:
      Oversee the payroll function across all EMEA locations, ensuring accurate and timely processing and compliance with local labour laws.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      Work closely with teams such as FP&A, HR, Legal, and the AMER Senior Director to support business objectives.
    • Process Improvement:
      Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in EMEA accounting and payroll operations.
    • Tax Support:
      Collaborate with the Global Tax team on Corporate Tax, VAT, and WHT, communicating with third-party service providers as needed.

    What you’ll need to succeed

    • Bachelor’s degree and qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent designation.
    • 10+ years of experience with GL accounting and reporting, with experience in US-based companies preferred.
    • Experience in a similar role within the EMEA region for a multinational corporation.
    • Proven experience building and mentoring a diverse, high-performing team in multiple locations.
    • Strong proficiency in US GAAP and various local GAAP (e.g., IFRS).
