    The Manager of Accounting Role:

    We are seeking an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE to join our team. As Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for reviewing, reporting and driving the company’s financial performance. This opportunity also manages and mentors a team of 3 accountants in a dynamically changing and growing technology business environment.

    This is a permanent, hybrid role with 3 days per week in our Farnborough office giving you the chance to shape the Department, and your team for growth and change.

    You will become a vital and central part of the team, for this reason we’re looking for a strong team-player-manager able to bring financial insight / acumen, clarity, alignment, vitality and accountability to the operational finance engine room, in addition to driving the development of the ERP system, implementing internal controls and process improvements.

    Your Day to Day in this role includes:

    + Managing the end to end production of monthly management P&L balance sheets and cash flow statements
    + Ownership of journals, preparing / reviewing month end balance sheet reconciliations
    + Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager to ensure all group reporting deadlines are met
    + Supporting in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with the company’s external auditors
    + Proactively identifying and implementing financial and operational process improvements

    But this role is about more than just the numbers

    To succeed in this role, you will:

    + Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience (this is a must have for us)
    + Have significant experience with full cycle accounting
    + Be an excel spreadsheet whizz
    + Have a work ethic that is productive, organised and effective
    + An experienced team coach/player/manager
    + Have experience working for medium to large companies preferably in a scale up environment
    + A customer centric, clear communicator who can partner with non-finance colleagues and build trust across the business
    + Someone with an eye for “the detail in the nums”
    + Experience of developing, stretching and nurturing a team as the business grows around you
    + A knack for adding value supporting a company’s transition from start up to scale up
    + An ability to contribute to implementing new systems and developing the ERP system (NetSuite)
