HGV Driver Class 1 – Limited Company / Self Employed

About Us:We are a small, dynamic company specializing in General Haulage with curtain sider trailers. Our team is dedicated and hardworking, and we’re looking for a like-minded individual with a can-do attitude to join us. This role involves maximum hours and includes weekend work.
Shift Patterns:
- Thursday to Monday (Rest days: Tuesday and Wednesday)
- Average Shift Length: 13 hours per day
Compensation:
- £180 per shift (inclusive of all hours)
- £900 per week
- £46,000 per year
Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM (must be flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and adherence to safety regulations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Ensure all delivery documentation is accurately completed
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Valid LGV C+E licence
- Valid CPC / DQC Card
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Minimum of 3 years LGV C+E experience
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and driving long distances
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to undergo a day’s training to familiarise with trailers and equipment
