    Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Defence) – Contract (Ongoing)
    £55 – 65 per hour (DOE) – Inside IR35
    Helensburgh – Hybrid

    Our client are an international engineering consultancy with some excellent opportunities in the Defence industry for a Senior Electrical Engineer on a contract basis.

    The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within, supporting operations and future programs at client sites.

    Responsibilities

    Author, develop, assess, and manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
    Manage design changes/concessions and present design substantiations to safety committees.
    Develop Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing schedules and safety reports.
    Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and conduct Independent Technical Reviews.
    Apply engineering knowledge to design, develop, and maintain engineering processes and systems.

    Key Experience/Qualifications

    Essentials

    Knowledge of design standards and practices.
    Theoretical and practical skills in design stages.
    Experience in assessing electrical equipment.
    Specification skills for HV and LV networks.
    Ability to justify design modifications.
    Familiarity with industrial machinery.
    Experience in multi-discipline projects.

    Desirables

    Experience in high-risk environments.
    Familiarity with safety case development.
    Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations.
    Relevant degree or equivalent.
    Chartered Engineer status.
    Safety case related training.
