    the Role

    The Bid Engineer
    is the person who leads the review of Sales proposals for products and service
    opportunities to determine bid feasibility and leads the development, editing
    and writing of proposals as well as other sales related documents according to
    offer preparation process of Controls & Digitization.

    The Bid
    Project engineer is responsible for the clarification, integrity and
    completeness of technical and financial scope of the proposal, with particular
    emphasis on establishing trading terms.

    You’ll Make an Impact

     

    • Preparation of
      project proposals for Controls and Digital services.
    • Supporting our
      regional bid management organization.
    • Creating offshore and
      onshore split offer packages.
    • Joining customer negotiations
      with Sales to establish the bid strategy.
    • Setting up the bid
      structure and aligning with BA for tax concepts and business models.
    • Preparing sales
      proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal
      feasibility.
    • Validating and
      endorsing the technical solution.
    • Establishing and
      coordinating an overview of the budget and milestones to support sales for
      timely bid submission.
    • Facilitating sales
      through coordination across multiple functions, including engineering, supply management,
      and other required interfaces.
    • Establishing
      communication channels with Execution to set up lessons learned.
    • Creating quality bids
      to ensure reduced non-conformance. You facilitate methods to conceptualize
      solutions and support risk mitigation
    •  You shall perform Cost/Risk assessment.

    About
    you

    • You have a Bachelor
      in Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in Power plant automation’s
      engineering / bid management.
    • Expertise in Power Generation
      plant controls technology, like Siemens / Siemens Energy Systems: e.g.
      TELEPERM, SPPA-T3000 or PCS7 or none-Siemens DCS.
    •  Brushless and Static Excitation System
      know-how is a pre-requisite.
    •  Willingness and or capability for conceptual
      works, efforts to design upgrade solutions from various Controls Systems.
    •  Knowledge of Control & Digitalization
      solutions and ‘know-how’ on the market offerings in these verticals would be an
      added advantage.
    •  Professional experience developing bids for
      Power plant automation. Exposure to R&M bids would be an added advantage.
    •  Project execution in Controls business or
      I&C Commissioning experience is most welcome.
    •  Industry/Business desire to work in the Gas
      and power industry.
    •  Know-how in using KLA calculation tool is an
      added advantage.
    •  You have expertise working in MS Office
      (Project, Excel & Power-Point), to facilitate project execution.
    •  Experience in collaboration with International
      teams, regional hubs, countries is beneficial..
    •  Team player, honesty and openness is the key
      factor.
    •  Strong drive and customer orientation.
    •  Fluency in English.
    • Working in Cross
      cultural environment.
