Assistant Management Accountant
We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant with a minimum of 18 months of experience working with management accounts. The ideal candidate will be proficient in prepayments and accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and have a solid understanding of the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process prepayments and accruals.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and associated reporting.
- Enter journals on the General Ledger and maintain it.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Support month-end duties and ensure timely closure of accounts.
- Assist with coding and inputting Accounts Payable invoices.
- Check bank reconciliations and manage month-end Accounts Receivable processes.
- Take responsibility for key tasks within the accounts department.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 18 months experience in management accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy with the ability to be efficient and accurate.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- A highly organised and focused working style.
- Exposure to and understanding of prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
