Hays are delighted to work with a well-known construction company based in Mid-Ulster. This company is expanding and seeking additional help. They are seeking an accounts assistant for a full-time, permanent position.
Your new role
Reporting to the Company Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with and completing the duties below.Key Responsibilities
• Matching/reviewing of invoices to delivery notes and orders
• Processing invoices to accounts package Sage 50
• Reconciliation of creditor statements at month end
Preparation of month end supplier payment run
• Processing of journals to the nominal ledgers
• Reconciliation of nominal ledger balances and purchase ledger control accounts
• Bank and credit card statement reconciliations
• Dealing with supplier and staff queries
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure all invoices due for payment are either paid or queried in a timely fashion
What you’ll need to succeed
• At least a minimum of 12 months previous experience in an Accounts role
• Experience with Sage 50 is essential
• Experience in the Construction Sector would be desirable
Skills / Knowledge
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced office environment
• Organised and able to prioritise workload with accurate record keeping
• Ability to work to deadlines and understand urgency of month end cut-offs
• Be able to demonstrate initiative whilst working in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft packages including outlook, word and excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
