    Building Surveyor required by a large public body on a temporary contract basis

    Your new company

    The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body based in Craigavon, to recruit a Building Surveyor on a temporary basis for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of further extension.
    Your new role

    You will join the Estates Property team and will have responsibility for:
    Assessing office and staff accommodation requests, liaising with service users to identify needs and develop minor works proposals based on achievable objectives.Conducting condition and property appraisals of the existing estate, providing subsequent condition reports.Undertaking measured surveys of existing buildings to provide electronic drawings for proposed alteration works and asset register database information e.g. floor areas, volumes etc.Conducting surveys and audits to determine estate condition and compliance with statutory standards and Health & Safety legislation. Compiling reports to identify remedial action for compliance with standards and legislation.As required, assisting in Property Management within the Estates department, e.g. assisting with a wide range of estate management activities including dilapidations or repairs.
    What you’ll need to succeed

    To be considered for this role, you must possess a Building Surveying degree or related third level qualification with at least 2 years’ experience as outlined in the key duties above.
    What you’ll get in return

    This position offers an immediate start with the opportunity to work with a large public body. You will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked.
    While this position is initially offered on a temporary basis for a period of 6 months, there is a good likelihood that the role will be extended beyond this period.
