    A Snapshot of Your Day 
    You are checking the market intelligence tool to understand what the market indicators development in different parts of the world is. You continue to do market screening to identify new potential suppliers based on the requirements you formerly aligned with your partners from the spare parts department. You organize and moderate cross functional meetings and update your Commodity Strategy measures accordingly.
    How You’ll Make an Impact 
    • Defining and implementing the purchasing and supplier strategy for machined parts, utilizing bundling potential and other procurement levers
    • Management and control of purchasing activities for vendor management will be conducted in collaboration with partner functions and other procurement units
    • Price and contract negotiations will be carried out with the conclusion of the contract
    • Active design of purchasing processes at STG locations, with a particular focus on service locations and regions, and driving cost reduction measures
    • Performing complex evaluations and analyses of national and international procurement markets (demand, market, and supplier analyses).
    What You Bring
    • University degree and several years of experience in purchasing or supplier management
    • Longterm experience in conducting negotiations and cross-functional collaboration with adjacent functional areas (e.g. project management, production, quality management, etc.) and global procurement teams
    • Professional knowledge of contract law and purchasing-specific project management
    • Proficiency in the international market of machining suppliers and machining technologies, as well as awareness of new trends in this area
    • Fluent communication skills in German and English; Willingness to travel up to 20%
