We are looking for a temporary Teaching Assistant/Midday Supervisor to work across our Year 5 classrooms and on the playground with the children at lunchtime. You will be supporting children with a range of learning or SEMH (Social Emotional, Mental Health) difficulties, leading small groups under the direction of the teacher, as well as helping the teachers with classroom organisation and administration. This is a temporary post until 31st August 2025.
The successful candidate will support children’s learning and development, help to plan and organise activities and the learning environment and, contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school. They will also be required to participate in training and other learning activities as necessary.
You should have experience of working with children in an educational setting and ideally hold a qualification in childcare. You will need to be highly literate and numerate and qualified to a high level with good verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to helping children to do their best.
You will be joining a hardworking and friendly team and you will be provided with support, guidance and training.
