This leading HMC co-educational School seeks to appoint a Gardener to join the enthusiastic and professional support team.
The successful applicant will help maintain the large proportion of the school estate set aside for gardens, ensuring it provides an excellent ‘first impression’ to the school and is sector-leading in its appearance and biodiversity.
The candidate will be passionate about horticulture, with a good knowledge of plant care and seasonal garden maintenance. Responsibilities include planting, weeding, pruning, and ensuring the school grounds are safe, attractive, and welcoming for students, visitors and staff. A proactive attitude, the ability to work as part of a team, and a relevant horticultural qualification (to Level 2) or equivalent experience.
The position is available on a full-time basis, all year round. Working hours will normally be Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Summer and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Winter.
The salary will start from £28,000 per annum with the potential for a higher rate depending on experience and qualifications.
