About the Role
Gas Services Sales team is looking for a “Regional Sales Manager”,
being responsible for driving O&M business and fostering the growth of our
regional gas service business. In this role, you will be responsible for sales
targets of O&M projects primarily in the Upper Gulf, and Eastern
Mediterranean Countries.
As a candidate you will be responsible for growing our large rotating
equipment O&M business for utilities and IPPs in line with our
profitability and risk expectations.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- As
a front face for Siemens Energy, you will develop strong relationships with
clients, identify O&M business opportunities, enhance market transparency,
and increase customer satisfaction - You
will explore O&M projects sales opportunities for Open Cycle and Combine
Cycle services as well as lead the preparation of complete and accurate
techno-commercial bids to meet the Sales Target Agreement. This includes the
definition of O&M project winning strategy - Engage
with customer early in key drivers’ definition, challenges, decision process to
gain influence on decision criteria by applying win-win philosophy. Understand
the value chain and Business model of the main O&M players and customers in
the countries and the political aspects of the industry - Evaluate
customer O&M specifications and determine the marketing and pricing
strategy - Act
as first level of escalation for all technical-, commercial cases and issues
for O&M projects (during lead management, bidding, negotiations, and
execution), as well as influence collaboration within the organization to
secure customer support - Flexibility
and drive to monitor and support multiple O&M projects simultaneously,
proactively give project support and solution - Understand
the Middle East Power Market and available product portfolio - Coordinate
the O&M project activities with the internal organization (O&M
Operation team, Product Competence Centers, Engineering, LTP Project
Management, Product Management, Regional Hub, etc.) to develop solution - Responsibility
for the contract process including complex contract negotiations and managing
the internal approval process - Support
digital solutions applicable to O&M solution - Actively
drive cost out and productivity initiatives - Sustain
frequent contact with customer to maintain the relationship even in the absence
of concrete new O&M project opportunities - Gathers
market and customer information and derive strategies for identification and
development of new O&M project opportunities - Develop
country profiles including basic country information, macroeconomic data,
market drivers (political, economic, social, business) - Develop
a structured presentation including clear objectives, agenda, storyline, and
summary of key messages and presents it to various audiences in person or
virtually - In
all your dealings you will work in line with the Company’s compliance and
business conduct policies
What you Bring
- Relevant
Engineering University degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering - Very
good knowledge of power generation business (minimum 7 years of experience) as
well as relevant sales experience in servicing rotating equipment (gas
turbines, steam turbines, generators,), preferably in the large turbine market - Can
understand customer requirements and can communicate these effectively within
the organization - Strong
track record in opportunity development incl. partnering and winning strategy,
negotiation guidance and with experience in diverse business environments - Strong
analytical skills, able to identify business opportunities and develop them
into value added solutions - Knowledge
of the current state of climate change and respective energy policies as well
as Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable team - Have
a self-motivated drive to enhance customer satisfaction and to reach the sales
targets - Run
economic analysis and business cases for key customers. Apply a variety of
methods to identify risk areas and impacts. Define appropriate mitigations and
control (the pricing of) risks - You
have good negotiation skills with the ability to manage internal and external
stake holders positively - You
have sharp analytical skills to review cost estimates and have positive
discussions with commercial and proposal teams. Knowledge of profit and loss
accounts is a plus - You
are a strategic think tank and an expert in value-add selling - You
have excellent time management skills and are an out of the box thinker with a
creative approach to problem solving - You
are open to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and have
demonstrated ability to work as a team player - You
are resilient and respond with a positive attitude when under pressure - Must
be willing to travel - Excellent English. Arabic is a plus
