Product Owner (f/m/d) – Stream “Transformer Applications Guidance”

    Date

    Grid Technologies

    A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Product Owner, you ensure that the product development consisting of several streams and related sub-systems is innovative and efficient. You manage multiple Technical Leads, who oversee the sub-systems, using an agile development approach,

The main responsibility of the Product Owner is to prepare and prioritize the team’s backlog for your allocated stream. This involves understanding of the product and architecture strategy defined by the Product Management and System Architect and aligning of the backlog accordingly. You constantly adjust the prioritization of the backlog according to the general principles of agile hardware development, which is crucial for the success of the development activities.

You also translate the requirements in the product backlog, managed by the product managers into actionable items in the team’s backlog and support in the definition of the product and architecture strategy/roadmap. You create transparency and trust among all stakeholders on the progress and goals with your excellent management skills based on effective communication.

The product owner of the workstream ‘Transformer Applications Guidance’ assures a seamless transition of the development results of fundamental rules plus components to the engineering processes. Understanding of processes and needs in the engineered-to-order business model of transformers is key for success. The product transformer is understood holistically, and this provides feedback to fundamental rules and components development.

Part of the skill set is the know-how transfer which is necessary to design and produce a transformer to enabling global standardization of the engineering process for customer orders in all aspects. The requirements engineering for engineering tools development as well as the provision of preferred design variants and design related global manufacturing rules are also part of the tasks.

    • Aling closely with Product Owner who are working in other areas of the Agile Operating Model (e.g. Engineering Tools)
    • Manage interdependencies of activities driven by Technical Leads to ensure an efficient development process
    • Adhere to the agile operating model facilitated by the Release Train Engineer
