The Controls and Digitalization Group at Siemens Energy in Alpharetta, GA is responsible for the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of Control Systems
for the Power Generation industry.
We are seeking to add an individual to our Project Management Support Team. This Project Coordinator
position is responsible for supporting Project Managers with requisitioning parts, among other support functions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Issues Purchase Requisitions for materials (this is primary task for this candidate).
- Works closely with Supply Chain Management to track parts delivery. Also collaborates closely with warehouse personnel.
- Ensures new (first-time) parts are entered into a master material database.
- Research/troubleshoot missing materials.
- Maintain product manuals and create documentation sets.
- Various administrative tasks: Printing engineering drawings, uploading/shipping engineering drawings to customers, uploading/shipping manuals to customers, ordering meals for customer and internal meetings
What You Bring
- HSD or GED; advanced certifications or degrees a plus! 3+ years experience in project coordination support as listed above.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; independent and can take ownership of tasks. Also can work effectively in a team environment!
- Proficient in: SAP PD2 (Purchasing/logistics modules), Purchase Requisitions and Reservations, Materials logistics, MS-Excel.
- Experience with SharePoint (MS-365 Suite) and MS-Teams preferred.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
