The Economy Team is recruiting a Local Enterprise Co-ordinator to support the resilience and growth of the economy along with the delivery of business grants.
The purpose of the role is to support the resilience and growth of the economy in Bridgend County Borough by:
Leading the co-ordination of a comprehensive, integrated service to potential and existing businesses in conjunction with other agencies and organisations at national, regional and local level.
Ensuring that Bridgend County Borough Council plays a leadership role in driving ambitious programme to support a sustainable economic future for the County Borough, using all planning, economic, convening and influencing levers available.
Managing and delivering the Council s Business and Economy funding steams and support business to access other forms of funding.
The successful candidate will require a sound understanding of current conditions relating to the economy and local business community, a proven track record of managing and delivering Business and Economy funding steams along with managing a large and complex portfolio of activities, demonstrating a robust understanding and experience of project management procedures. Good organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines are also required.
The post is funded until the end of March 2025 but could be extended should further funding become available.
The post is suitable for a secondment.
