    Wonderful opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join this leading Engineering & Manufacturing business

    Hays Health & Safety are working alongside this highly established and niche Manufacturing business, to recruit a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their team
    Working from their new offices on the outskirts of Greater Manchester (M62), we are looking for an experienced and practical HSE Manager to drive and maintain the highest standards of safety within the business

    The business is an established, but growing Manufacturing / Engineering organisation at the forefront of producing and developing modern technologies within their sector.
    They manufacture and develop niche products for use in their product market around the world

    They are looking for a technically minded, hands-on and analytical HSE Manager to join their business. You will have experience working within a technical Manufacturing or Engineering business, and either be a proven HSE Manager currently, or be an experienced HSE Advisor looking for that step up

    Your practicality and passion for Health & Safety will allow you to drive a high-level safety culture and embed fundamental safety policies and procedures across the business. You’ll have experience maintaining ISO standards and will look for you to achieve 14001, as the business looks to implement their Environmental Management systems

    Some other key duties and responsibilities will include:

    Ensuring the business is compliant with the latest HSE legislation and standards
    Managing all internal risks, and identifying solutions
    Carrying out site inspections, and internal audits
    Managing all H&S related KPI’s, and measuring their performance
    Carrying out risk assessments, and supporting all internal stakeholders with best practice and the management of documentation
    Managing all HSE obligations
    Reporting to the SLT on all HSE updates, and reports on performance
    You will be IOSH or NEBOSH qualified and also have IEMA, or an appropriate Environmental level qualification
