Our client is a very forward-thinking and sustainability-focused Main Contractor who pride themselves on their relaxed and approachable culture. Our client is primarily focused on work in the care sector, especially around end of life centres. Currently operating at £65,000,000 turnover this year with projections only increasing in growth, typically have between 10-12 projects ongoing at one time averaging between £10-24,000,000.
Your exciting new role
As an established Estimator, you will have experience in researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment. Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors and getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame. Assessing the risk levels associated with a project, preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done, assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers and monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Preferable experience in work within the care sector, preferably with end of life centres.
- Experience in using Conquest, MS Excell, Causway.
- They must be confident to price jobs on their own and understand the tender process.
- Worked for main contractor previously, priced jobs of £1,000,000 upwards
