    A prestigious UK building services contractor, renowned for winning multiple awards, is actively seeking a BIM Project Lead to manage design coordination on a multitude of large-scale projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. The projects span various sectors, including decarbonisation, renewable energy, data centres, healthcare, commercial, high-rise residential, educational, and airport projects.
    Your new role

    The BIM Project Lead will play a critical role in collaborating with the project BIM team to deliver the highest quality drawings from BIM models, ensuring that all MEP, Architectural and Structural elements are accurately represented and meet the project’s specifications.

  • Develop the BIM strategy and delivery programme in collaboration with the BIM Manager.
  • Understand and adhere to the project-specific BIM execution plan.
  • Manage team schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
  • Coordinate resource allocation with the BIM Manager.
  • Provide regular project reports to the BIM Manager and Associate Director.
  • Lead the creation of intricate or critical BIM models.
  • Supervise the BIM team in creating and managing project design models and drawings.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between various design disciplines.
  • Use BIM software tools for clash detection and resolution.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols for BIM models and drawings.
  • Maintain all BIM-related documentation.
  • Host internal BIM coordination meetings.
  • Act as the primary BIM contact in external project meetings.
  • Seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance and identify training needs.
  • Provide mentorship to team members.
  • Understand the integration of BIM processes with other software tools -i.e. Dynamo
  • If applicable, oversee the integration of time (4D), cost (5D), and facility management (6D) data into BIM models.
  • What you’ll need to succeed

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a BIM coordination role delivering large commercial MEP projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Dynamo, and AutoCAD
  • Experience and understanding of multi-disciplinary design processes and design coordination
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and tasks on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Desirable Criteria:

  • A relevant third level education in building services, architectural engineering or construction
