    A Snapshot of Your Day
    As Service Application Engineer, you will lead, co-ordinate and/or execute the technical parts of delivering preventive maintenance to our customers. You will also set technical input to quotes for selling service, and define & assess technical risks. At meetings, you are the technical representative of the project with customers, partners and within the project team. Before inspections, you prepare the inspection scope. During inspections, you provide back office support during office hours. After inspection, you are responsible for the update of product data in our systems.
    Several IT tools such as SAP and PLM2020 are used. In addition to this, you are the entry point for any technical questions, in between planned overhauls.
    There is usually approximately 1-5 travels to the customer per year, where you will talk about the planned and/or performed maintenance that will be/has been performed.
    The daily work is organized in teams including Service Application Engineer, Sales Manager, Customer Contract Manager, Overhaul PM and Logistics.
    How You’ll Make an Impact
    • Prepare technical scope for planned inspections tailored to each SGT 800 gas turbine unit for customers with Long Term Program (LTP) contracts, including identifying upsell opportunities.
    • Provide technical support to LTP customers and act as the entry point to engineering for various technical topics, excluding 24/7 support.
    • Lead, coordinate, and complete the technical aspects of delivering preventive maintenance, provide technical feedback for service quotes, and evaluate technical risks in consultation with other technical functions.
    • Serve as the technical representative in meetings with customers, partners, and project teams, and prepare inspection scopes, provide back-office support during inspections, and update product data post-inspection.
    • Use IT tools, such as SAP and PLM2020, to manage data and be the primary resource for addressing technical queries from customers and regions during planned overhauls.
    • Travel to customer sites approximately 1-5 times per year to discuss planned and/or performed maintenance with Field Service Engineers.
    What You Bring
    • You have a solid technical background relevant for Gas Turbine Engineering. This could include a technical degree such as a Master of Science in Control/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in Gas Turbine work.
    • Experience with Commissioning or Installation of SGT 800 turbines is merited.
    • You are eager to learn, collaborating well with your colleagues and interfaces.
    • Interest in process improvement is a benefit, as this is one of our focus areas.
    • Comfortable with working in several IT systems.
    • Structured, driven, and open-minded.
    About the Team
    The SGT 800 fleet is growing, and now we need to expand our engineering team that delivers preventive maintenance for our products. Our technical support and close collaboration with our customers worldwide, is essential for achieving high availability, reliability and a satisfied customer. This position offers a complete overview of the SGT-800 i.e., Core Engine as well as the Auxiliaries.
    Our team consists of 13 people from all around the world and different backgrounds. We strive to support each other and build a strong technical knowledge within the team. There is always someone to discuss solutions and ideas with before presenting the final scope. An internal mentorship program is set up to take care of new team members.
    Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
