You will provide solutions
concerning commercial topics and accounting principles relevant to projects of
varying volumes and complexities (CCM/POC revenue recognition) with leading oil
and gas and power generation companies.
How
You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure all reporting
requirements and conformity concerning IFRS15 and Siemens Energy Financial
Reporting Guidelines are met through suitable and reliable processes and tools. - Set up projects in the
project finance system (SAP) and ensure accurate and timely recording of
financial data throughout the project lifecycle. - Monitor project budgets
to ensure all expenditures are within the allowance. - Conduct regular
costs-to-complete forecasting using the POC (percentage of completion) method
with input from Project Managers and monitor monthly. Raise uncertainties as
soon as foreseen and take appropriate actions. - Perform monthly
forecasting and reporting of project progress in Project Dash. - Manage contract assets,
contract liabilities, project payables, and receivables. - Forecast project cash
flow of inflows and outflows monthly and oversee project currency risks and tax
issues. - Review and update
project hedge deals on a monthly basis. - Facilitate monthly
project cost reviews, including analysis of key variances to budget. - Assist the Project
Manager in administering and monitoring the project risk and opportunity
register and take required actions if necessary. - Prepare payment claims
and raise each claim in accordance with contract requirements (fixed milestones
or schedule of rates). - Support the Project
Manager with raising purchase requisitions and purchase orders. - Support the tender
manager by providing input to negotiations on commercial issues based on
lessons learned from current projects. - Provide support on
claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases, and monitor proper
follow-up together with the Project Manager and legal team. - Actively communicate
with customers and suppliers’ commercial representatives and manage the
resolution of commercial issues. - Ensure project
execution is in line with processes and guidelines (local GAAP, IFRS, FRG,
etc.). - Provide ad hoc support
on other commercial project topics as required
What You Bring
- Bachelors in business
studies (master’s degree a plus) - Minimum 7-10 years of
professional experience in project controlling and financial reporting. - Knowledge of SAP R3 FICO,
SD and PS while PP is an advantage. - Ability to work under
pressure and adhere to timelines. - Experience in project
controlling, including identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks and
opportunities. - Ability to analyze and
communicate clearly to project management and senior corporate management. - Good understanding of
project management principals - SAP experience.
- Advanced MS Office
skills, particularly Excel and Word - Fluent in English
