Transformation of Industry
· In the morning you have a meeting with the team expert for high-current converter design and align with him on the evaluation of a potential component supplier´s technical solution. Afterwards, you receive a call from an execution project because the customer would like to discuss in detail the safety philosophy for the converter and electrolysis power supply and you need to align with your colleague on the meeting and presentation. Before lunch you spend some time preparing a technical document for an ongoing electrolysis product R&D and send it out for review. After lunch you have a discussion on the storage of product related information and on how to provide the Sales teams with better material with regards to the power supply and converter system used. Your day ends with a meeting with a potential converter supplier regarding their product portfolio and possible future cooperations.
- Take ownership of our electrolysis power supply systems and coordinate all activities related to the further development of the converter system, including type tests and validation campaigns for updated products, as well as related maintenance tasks
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to drive the strategic progression of the portfolio
- Support the technical experts responsible for converter design and selection
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all R&D and customer project execution teams regarding the converter system, providing support in their activities
- Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with strong focus on power electronics (ideally Thyristor and IGBT)
- Experience in the design, manufacturing, and/or testing of MW-sized converter systems with focus on semi-conductor selection, protection concepts, cooling design, and product costs
- Strong coordination and communication skills, as well as project management experience
- Background in electrolysis or high-current applications beneficial
