Transformation of Industry
- Coordination of all mechanical engineering tasks in R&D projects and customer projects
- Contributing to negotiations with suppliers and customers as well as coordination of fabricators
- Detailed planning of steel structures and piping designs
- Preparation of plant layouts and detailed installation plans
- Support of proposal preparations to develop competitive and high-quality customer-oriented bids for hydrogen generation plants
- Preparation of specification documents for the manufacturing process and for procurement
- Execution of design reviews as well as further development of design guidelines
- Initiation of lessons learned initiatives and implementation of improvement measures as part of the continuous improvement process
- University degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification with relevant professional experience as well as several years of practical experience in 3D design and in creating 3D plant layouts
- Comprehensive experience in piping design as well as high expertise in using 3D design tools, preferably NX
- Good knowledge in performing structural-mechanical simulations and in conducting stress analyses, ideally knowledge in the use of Teamcenter
- Experience in managing CAD data of large projects and in data exchange between 3D design tools and layout planning tools
- Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly works, excellent organizational skills as well as experience in coordinating small engineering or project teams
- Strong communication skills and a good sense of humor as well as willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Business fluent English. German language skills is a bonus
- Great passion for the field of energy transition and decarbonization as well as willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams to jointly develop innovative solutions
