About the Opportunity
MBN Solutions are delighted to partner with a Tier 1 UK Retail Bank to support the build of a brand new Data team based in the UK.
We are looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about solving complex business problems using data driven solutions that you have built. This role will involve:
- Enhancing automation for user-developed applications and data pipelines by eliminating manual processes.
- Creating effective solutions for common DevOps challenges.
- Integrating innovative data methodologies into the organization by leading role modeling, offering training, and overseeing experiment design.
- Identifying and acquiring new data using the most suitable tools for the given context.
- Designing and implementing solutions for real-time data ingestion and transformation in alignment with the organization’s streaming strategy.
About You
- Proven experience & expertise within a Data Engineering position, specifically focusing on ETL design, data quality testing, cleansing & monitoring, data sourcing and sound knowledge of modern code development practices.
- Strong Python, Pyspark, Pandas skills. Knowledge/experience of building backend Python APIS.
- Strong SQL & Tableau skills.
- Experience working within Cloud environments – AWS is preferable.
- Excel & VBA skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, engagement, and influencing skills.
The following skills would be nice-to-haves:
- Experience working within the Financial Services sector.
- Knowledge of C#/.NET & Javascript environments.
