How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive
governmental affairs and advice managing directors for Japan - Lead
on key work packages in the energy transition projects for Japan analyzing
strategies and infrastructure opportunities, seeking dialog with
government institutions for foreign trade promotion, including financial
instruments. - Contribute
to the development of the growth strategy in Japan by providing advice on
key policy topics in climate protection, decarbonization and energy
transition. - Continuously
update and provide advice on changing policy landscape in Japan to
relevant stakeholders within the region and to the corporate governmental
affairs team. - Engage
in strategic interaction and strengthen relationship proactively with
governments, embassies, financial institutions and associations to support
growth of Siemens Energy in the region achieve positive business impact
and societal improvements. - Drive
stakeholder analysis and benchmark activities to better position Siemens
Energy in the competitive landscape. - Analyze
geopolitical trends to anticipate future policy and legal framework and
expectations. - Represent
Japan in key think tank and governmental organizations
What You Bring
- An
expert with proven experience in a government affairs role. A profound
project financing background and the respective network to public funding
institutions together with good regional track record in Japan is a must
have for this role. - Provide
comprehensive guidance on the geopolitical interests and policies of
governments, as well as preferably a good network to related international
governmental or financing institutions - Expertise
should also cover financing instruments offered by governments and/or
international institutions - Extensive
experience in managing or participating in strategic projects with
cross-functional and international teams, ideally in a management or
consulting environment - Effective
at building connections and working with a variety of collaborators,
customers, partners, and team members across different cultures - Profound
know-how about geopolitical developments in Japan - Experience
in political/diplomatic environment with international experience - Experience
in negotiation with authorities and government bodies - Strong
analytical skills - Ideally
background / experience in the Energy industry - Fluent
in Japanese and English
