On Site Machining Specialist – Large Frame Gas/Steam Turbines

    Role:

    The Machinist is responsible for operating mobile equipment,
    tools & machinery efficiently and accurately onsite. He will lead machining
    work onsite independently.

    What are my responsibilities?

    • Perform site
      machining on the equipment of Power Plant for overhaul and refurbishment, such
      as casing, rotor, valve and so on
    • Identify the proper
      drawing, document and instruction
    • Prepare the machining
      process based on the related document
    • Identify the machine,
      tooling, measurement and consumable for defined scope
    • Deliver expectations
      on EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and Quality
    • Site schedule
      management/control
    • Machine/tooling
      packing, lifting
    • Report the
      machine/tooling condition before/after the assignment
    • Solving the problem
      regarding to site machining, process and related quality issues
    • Implement process
      continuous improvement for cost reduction, productivity increasing and quality
      increasing
    • Completes mandatory
      trainings
    • Notifies
      non-conformances and tags / segregates non-conforming items
    • Maintenance the
      machines during and after the job
    • Able to identify a
      problem with the machine and able to find a solution and in best case repair it
      independently, mechanic skills are a must
    • Communication with
      shift/side leader, organizing and adjust schedules with other parties on side

    What do I need to qualify for this job?

    • 1 to 5 years’
      experience operating manual Workshop machinery
    • Be familiar with
      onsite Machining, such as Portable Lathe, Boring bar, Portable milling,
      drilling and grinding
    • Machining technical
      experience on Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine / Generator Services or heavy-duty
      equipment.
    • Good hands-on skill
    • Be familiar with
      machining process of lathe, boring, milling, drilling and grinding
    • Be familiar with
      cutting tools (lathe, milling, boring…), fixture and measurement
    • Be familiar with
      mechanical drawings, dimensions and geometric tolerances
    • Be familiar with CAD
      software, drawing/sketch creating will be an advantage
    • Flexible with
      travelling at short notice (national & international) for an extended
      period
    • Must have Valid
      Passport, Driver License, Crane and Forklift License
    • Open for many
      different nationalities, and environment
    • Confident use of digital applications such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
      etc.

    Eligibility
    :

    • Willingness to work abroad and do shift
      work.
    • Frequent travelling required.
    • Vocational School / Technical Collage in
      Mechanical Degree
    • Result driven, Initiative, Team Player
      & self-motivated
