Siemens
Energy’s ‘Onshore Field Service’ team in South Africa plays a crucial role in
the Field Service & Tooling organization in Europe and Africa. Our team is
in charge of managing and staffing Field Service projects within the subregion on
Gas services Distributed / Central, and Transformation
of Industry Compression products,
and may also provide support outside the subregion as needed.
How
You’ll Make an Impact
- Reporting: You
will report directly to the Head of Onshore Field Service within your sub-region. - Headcount
Management: Manage the Field Service headcount within your organization. - Partnerships:
Build strong partnerships and maintain open communication with respective
PCCs within the Field Service global organization. - Communication:
Maintain good communication with the Project Management (PM) organization. - Team Setup: Optimize the Field Service team setup based on
short-term and long-term planning for both planned and unplanned outages. - Recruitment: Recruit the required Field Service headcount within
the region as needed. - Optimization:
Continuously optimize headcount regionalization versus the use of the
product competency center (PCC) headcount for outage execution. - Cross-Training: Optimize the existing headcount through
cross-training of Field Service Engineers and Technicians. - Training &
Certification: Organize required trainings and
track PCC certifications. - Localization:
Optimize headcount certification in terms of localization. - Coaching &
Development: Coach and develop the local Field Service team to ensure high
levels of team satisfaction and employee retention. - Performance
Targets: Ensure utilization, timelines, and quality targets are met for
all Field Service activities. - Compliance: Ensure
compliance with legal requirements related to the activity of field staff. - EHS
Responsibility: Oversee EHS responsibilities for the Field Service team
and their activities at customer sites. - Tooling Center
Management: Effectively manage the regional tooling center. - Digitalization
Support: Support our digitalization efforts by adopting strategic projects
like Primavera/Salesforce Field Service Lightning, Polaris (SAP FSM or SF
FS Lightning), OnePM, mySPGI, and CPQ. - Culture: Foster a
culture of transparency, entrepreneurship, inclusiveness, and act as a
change agent for your team(s).
What You
Bring
- Emphasis

communication skills. - Communication:
You should have the ability to apply your communication skills at all levels
within the organization. - Organizational
Understanding: A good understanding of our company organization, including head
offices and regions, is required. - Experience:
You should have a minimum of 7 years of personal (preferably hands-on)
experience in Field Service. - Leadership:
Experience in leading a team of 7 or more people is essential. - Project
Management: Strong project management skills are a must. - Language:
Fluency in English is required. - Analytical
Skills: Strong analytical skills, including an understanding of turnkey project
setups and various implementation concepts. - Education:
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
Equivalent experience will also be considered.
