    We have an exciting opportunity for a Inpatient Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care Pharmacy team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Central Winchester.

    HMP Winchester is a Category B Local remand prison located in Central Winchester accommodating approximately 670 male prisoners.

    Although the site is close to Winchester city centre there is onsite (free!) parking for all staff and it is a short walk from Winchester train station. There is an onsite gym which is subsidised, well-being days and events, pizza days, shut down afternoons weekly for opportunity for training and reflection.

    Hours

    37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday – 9.00 to 17.00 or 8-4pm

    Salary

    This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £49,700 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

    What you’ll be doing

    As an Inpatient Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

    liaise external stakeholders to develop pathways that prevent patients having to attend outside hospital including but not exclusively end of life care and acute care
    assist with the development of patients medical plans of care, line manage a team of healthcare practitioners ensuring that they are supported and appraised
    promote safe patient care
    develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

    Registered Mental Health Nurse and a current professional qualification, if dual trained a bonus
    Evidence of Continued Professional Development

    Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

    Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
