With the magical flair of a music box opening, “Paracosm” begins with wintry keys, airy vocals, and an eerie hush. As the sound expands in leaps and bounds, Absolutely reflects on feeling lost in a big world, before her perspective shifts from caution to blazing curiosity, while her vocals grow from intimate to sky-high soaring: “Maybe some things are not meant to change, this life makes less sense as I age / The best pieces of me they remain, just a little bit strange.”
Speaking on the creation of the album, Absolutely explains, “I had to relearn how to create the way I did as a child — without rules, without fear. Once I tapped back into that freedom, the world of Paracosm opened up completely. I constructed all of these interesting, fun, and fantastical worlds that would make my younger self feel very happy, safe, and seen.”
That spirit animates Paracosm, a meticulously crafted universe blending pop, electronica, jazz, and R&B with lyrics of striking emotional depth. From the viral, piano-pounding catharsis of “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” — which sparked standing ovations on tour and millions of TikTok views last summer — to dramatic early cut “Goodbye Glitter” and the introspection of “No Audience,” praised by Rolling Stone as “an invitation to create purely for yourself,” Paracosm cements Absolutely as one of the most compelling new voices of her generation and 2026’s de facto artist to watch.
The album arrives as Absolutely tours internationally as direct support on her sister RAYE’s This Tour May Contain New Music, alongside their sister Amma. The run includes major arena dates across Europe and the UK before heading to North America in late March, hitting iconic venues like New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Absolutely will also join Reneé Rapp on select European arena dates next month, followed by a summer festival run including Governor’s Ball (New York) and BottleRock (Napa Valley).
