Multiple ARIA Award-winning artist Amy Shark returns with her first new music in almost two years with the ultimate break-up anthem, ‘The Biggest Dick’. The tongue in cheek track sees Amy unapologetically return to her roots with a guitar driven slice of indie pop that is sure to make fans old and new stand to attention.

On the track, Amy says The Biggest Dick’ is about celebrating all the little wins you have when you’re feeling low. Things like coffees and blue skies. It’s the ultimate breakup song. A little bit sad a little bit vulnerable, a little bit uplifting but mainly.. a big F U! You big *@&^.”

soft pop is a remarkable body of work written entirely by Amy with no co-writes or collaborations, reminiscent of early Amy’s ‘Adore’ days. Amy holed herself up in her apartment for a cathartic month of distraction-free deep introspection and creative output before jumping on a plane to record soft pop with long-time producer Dann Hume in a converted church in the Welsh countryside. Together the pair set a challenge to approach this record with new sounds. Amy wanted to use instrumentation, creative production and vocal hooks to punctuate the album rather than relying on a snare drum to build the emotion. The result is soft pop – no co-writes, no guest features, no drums, all Amy. Raw, vulnerable, full of joy, evocative and visceral. All killer and no filler!

Amy says “I’m so proud of soft pop and so excited to share this world with my fans. We created something that feels incredibly special on this album. There’s truly something here for everyone, and the process of bringing it to life has been challenging, full of joy and honestly life changing. Strap in as we reveal the record step by step. I hope you find something beautiful, relatable and deeply human in every drop of soft pop.”

Never one to do things by halves, if a new single and album wasn’t enough for 2026, this year will see Amy make her feature film acting debut alongside Russell CroweDaniel MacPherson and Luke Hemsworth in the upcoming film BEAST due in Australian Cinemas on April 23 and can currently be seen on televisions across the county as a judge on Australian Idol.
