As an Automation & Control Systems Project Lead at Siemens Energy, you will you play a crucial role in connecting customer requirements and our ground breaking solutions. You’ll guide an international project team, managing diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include the technical guidance of projects focusing on Instrumentation and Controls, particularly Siemens Energy T3000 solutions. Ensuring these projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet the expected results will be key.
This role demands strong organizational skills, deep knowledge of electrical and automation solutions, and solid project management expertise.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage global projects in Instrumentation and Control technologies, electrical engineering, and digitalization, driving both new constructions and modernizations for power generation solutions like Thermal power plants, Gas and Steam turbines, H2 generation, battery storage, and other renewables.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure flawless project execution.
- Ensure the technical and financial success of projects, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of experience exchange within the project management team and across relevant units.
- Lead an interdisciplinary, intercultural project team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Act as the project’s representative within the organization, advocating for project needs and goals.
What You Bring
- Must hold a university degree in automation, control technology, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, complemented by relevant industry experience.
- Bring a wealth of professional experience in engineering or commissioning electrical and control systems, with a strong foundation in project management.
- Ideally possess 2-3 years of hands-on experience in technical and project management roles, particularly within small to medium-sized customer projects.
- Project management certification (e.g., PM@Siemens or IPMA) is a valuable asset.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a plus, and additional language skills are highly desirable.
- Exhibit outstanding communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a strong team spirit, along with initiative, result orientation, decisiveness, and excellent organizational abilities.
