Automation Engineer – Offshore

    As
    Automation Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation of complex
    Process Control System solutions that integrates process automation hardware
    and software for customers in the Oil & Gas as well as various other
    industries and verticals using Siemens PCS 7 and other Siemens Automation
    tools.

    •  Reviewing and comment the
      design specifications released by customer, clarifying the scope and
      material requirements for jobs.
    • Work and coordinate Control
      Systems configurations across multiple engineering platforms and locations
      and deliver a unified engineering solution for a project.
    • Assuring Software and hardware
      engineering testing jobs are done timely and within the budget.
    • Organizing the review and test
      of engineered system with customers, conclude successful FAT with end
      users.
    • Assuring all project
      documentation is updated according to the documentation structure.
    • Ensure that the final
      engineered solution is implemented successfully at offshore sites.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in
      engineering or related discipline (Electrical, Electronics, Computer
      Science / Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.)
    • Minimum 5 years of experience
      as an Automation Engineer in Oil & Gas sector with offshore work
      experience
    • Working experience on Siemens
      PCS7 Automation Systems, SICOS and SOGO libraries along with PDT/ACT
      engineering knowledge required
    • Working experience on Siemens
      Automation: Simatic S7 400FH systems, Safety Systems, Fail Safe IO system.
    • Working experience on
      industrial communication protocols like TCP, ProfiNET, Profibus DP/PA,
      MODBUS, Fieldbus, HART and OPC.
    • Ability to design complete PCS7
      system architectures with multiple Client-Server system.
    • Strong knowledge SIS system
      design, SIL calculations, IEC and ATEX standards on Safety systems.
    • Strong knowledge on OSIsoft PI
      or Aspentech IP21 preferred.
    • Strong software coding skills
      with VB, C++ and SQL preferred.
    • Knowledge and practical
      experience on virtualization with vSphere, HyperV. Practical experience on
      implementation of virtualized solution for PCS7 systems.
    • Knowledge and practical
      experience of Cyber Security / OT security implementation like DMZ,
      firewall, Router, layered Switch configuration are preferred.
    • Must be abreast with MS office
      applications. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Sigraph or Eplan added advantage.
    • Must be familiar with Control
      Panel design including related Engineering like electrical wiring in low
      voltage cabinets, ability to read and work with P&ID’s, C&E and
      TSLD’s.
    • Candidate needs to undergo
      offshore safety trainings e.g.: BOSIET, H2S, etc.
    • Work as team leader or leader
      of certain tasks as i.e. documentation. Must have ability to motivate and
      develop team members
    • Innovate, creatively apply
      lessons learned, and implement cost-effective solutions for proposal
      support, requirements management, that prevent non-conformances during
      Project Execution
    • Must be able to work in a fast
      paced, multicultural environment as a team and as an independent
      contributor
    • Must be flexible and could work
      under pressure on offshore sites providing trouble shooting support to
      offshore personnel.
