Adullam Homes Housing Association
Adullam’s mission statement is: “Restoring hope and dignity through quality housing and support”.
They aim to help people access safe, comfortable accommodation and support them to lead independent lives. By providing quality housing, delivering tailored support plans, training, education, and employment opportunities they help people achieve stable lives and realise their full potential. Those they help include asylum seekers, ex-offenders, expectant and new mums, people with mental health issues, recovering addicts, survivors of domestic abuse, those homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, and young people leaving care.
To help them achieve their mission, there are currently three opportunities for new Board Members to join. One of the roles would ideally suit a candidate with a strong operational background who brings insight and understanding of the types of services provided by Adullam. A strong track record of leading service improvements is essential, as is an understanding of how high-quality services positively impact the lives of vulnerable individuals.
The second role requires a candidate with an excellent appreciation of finance, risk, audit and financial compliance. It isn’t essential to be a qualified accountant, although a high level of financial literacy is important along with an understanding of internal and external audit processes in a comparably regulated environment.
The third opportunity is for a candidate who brings insight into the people and pastoral aspects of Adullam’s work. With a highly people-centred approach, candidates will bring experience of leading human resources, pastoral services, stakeholder engagement, or working closely with service users and customers. Candidates may also have lived experience of the services provided by Adullam.
Adullam’s services are located within four English regions and one in Wales, and they take considerable pride in being a friendly, people focused organisation. Their values of: Valuing the Individual; Integrity and Fairness; and Striving for Excellence are central to every aspect of their work, with the values having been developed by tenants, residents, service users, the board and colleagues. Applications are welcomed from candidates from all sections of the community who represent the diverse communities we serve, with no barriers to inclusion.
The candidate pack and details of how to apply are available by clicking Apply on website and entering the search term ‘Adullam’.
