Business Area Head (f/m/d) of Supplier Quality and Development

    A Snapshot of Your Day 
    As the Head of Supplier Quality and Development for one of Siemens Energy’s Business Areas, you act as a value-add orchestrator to define and continuously improve quality of suppliers and their deliveries while guiding and driving the organization and fostering the cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Quality Management, Manufacturing and Logistics, R&D organization or/and Project Management (PM). Ensuring compliance of the SQD function with applicable legal, regulatory and customer requirements as well as compliance with the defined SQD procedures and standards in the supply chain is one of your daily tasks. You implement defined Supplier QM policies, contributes to achievement of respective SCM targets, and establish and manage Supplier Quality operations, controlling and reporting systems, for assigned organization units or assigned commodities or supplier base. You manage and ensure employee-trainings to ensure compliance with defined standards within the area of responsibility.
     
    How You’ll Make an Impact 
    • Collaborating with procurement leadership within, Business Units / Execution Units and regions worldwide to achieve supply chain and quality business goals 
    • Ensuring implementation and continuously improve adequate supplier quality processes and standards for the Integrated Management System (IMS) within the SQD function
    • Ensuring early involvement of SQD-function in sourcing and strategies and processes as well as product definition process
    • Developing, controlling and ensuring the implementation of: Supplier Qualification, Supplier Audit Program, Supplier non-conformance (NC) management, Supplier improvement process
    • Planning budget for global supplier quality programs as well as the related financial and personnel resources and aligns this with the organizational unit’s budget plan
    • Initiating continuous improvement actions and lessons learned across assigned SQD organizational units as well as ensuring SQD competency management and training system for required competencies in the area of supplier quality management
    • Fully exploiting business intelligence using state-of-the-art advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, ensuring availability of relevant process-/ and supplier performance data as well as driving efficiency by implementing automated and digital end-to-end workflows
    • Contributing to the Company’s sustainability strategy and eco-system principles in the supply chain as well as ensuring and controlling implementation of prevention-oriented SQD related methods and risk management projects and products
    What You Bring
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar required, advanced graduate degree preferred
    • Longstanding professional experience in Supplier Quality Management and Supplier Development
    • At least 10 years of experience managing people, leading experience within international teams is a must
    • Longstanding professional foreign (intercontinental) experiences and adequate capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures
    • Cross-functional experience gained in technical functions (e.g. engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality) in the energy industry – or other industries (e.g. Automotive), minimum of 5 years of experience in quality function or manufacturing or engineering related function will be preferred  
    • Project Management Experience 
    • Experience in Procurement and as a Design Engineer, Quality Engineer, Technical Project Lead, Supply Chain Design or Industrial Engineer
