Key Responsibilities:
- Category Management: Implement category management strategies, supporting the development and execution of procurement plans.
- Supplier Management: Identify and engage with local suppliers, negotiate strategic contracts/tenders, and ensure sustainable supply conditions.
- KPIs & Targets: Achieve procurement goals and KPIs by leading strategic sourcing initiatives, overseeing supplier bidding processes, and managing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key partners.
- Business Partnership: Build and nurture collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Connecting with the Sales and Marketing teams is pivotal to this role.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and identify trends and opportunities to enhance procurement strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualification, preferably in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain management within the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, logistics, distribution, and warehousing.
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- A dynamic and can-do approach is ideal
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work on your own.
