Chief Executive Officer, Disused Tips Authority for Wales

GOODSON THOMAS

The Welsh Government is establishing the Disused Tips Authority for Wales, an arm’s length body due to become operational on 1 April 2027. The Authority will deliver a proactive management regime for disused coal and non-coal tips, protecting human welfare, safeguarding communities, and ensuring the resilience of critical infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to serve as the Authority’s inaugural Chief Executive Officer. You will be an ambitious, collaborative, forward-thinking leader who can combine strategic vision with operational delivery. We welcome individuals who can offer fresh perspectives, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, with a strong desire to make a positive impact.

This is an opportunity to help shape a new national body from the outset, ensuring that the legacy of Wales’s industrial past is managed safely and sustainably for future generations.
